Full Description

Implements from Mesolithic to Bronze Age have been found by Morley Hewitt in arable fields south of the farm … All these are preserved in the Morley Hewitt collection at Fordingbridge Town Hall. Also in this collection are microliths from SU 12231135. <1> A surface scatter of worked flint including four microliths was found in arable fields at Warren Park Farm, Alderholt by Mr Morley Hewitt of Fordingbridge. <2> <3> (Centred SU122114) A number of flint and stone implements have been discovered in the locality of Warren Park Farm, otherwise known as Lodge Farm. <4> The flint scatter included at least 19 cores, over 100 flakes and blades and three scrapers. <5>
