Summary

A limekiln recorded as ‘limekiln’ on the 1888 Ordnance Survey map, ‘old limekiln’ on the 1901 Ordnance Survey map and kiln 1967 Ordnance Survey map. It is not shown on the 1841 tithe map. It was visited in 1992-3 by Peter Stanier and found to be in fair condition with almost 80-90% remaining. The kiln lime shed has a gable roof with a hipped end.
