Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow recorded by the Ordnance Survey in 1954 when it was described as nearly circular with a slight ditch, situated on high ground and had been mutilated by deep ploughing prior to tree planting. Bronze Age bowl barrow badly mutilated by tree planting. In 1962 no trace of a ditch was visible and the barrow was covered in trees.

Full Description

Bowl barrow, nearly circular, 8.5m in diameter, 0.6m high, slight ditch. Situated on high ground in a state forest, mutilated by deep ploughing prior to tree plantation. <1> As described the area has been planted with trees. No trace of the ditch was found. Surveyed at 1/2500. <2>
