Monument record MDO5546 - Possible bowl barrow west of Harley Wood, Gussage All Saints
Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
A possible Bronze Age bowl barrow located immediately west of Harley Wood. Approximately 10m in diameter. Damaged by ploughing.
It’s identification as a barrow has been in doubt since the discovery of a later prehistoric enclosure now known to exist in this field. It has been suggested that the mound may in fact be part of the earthworks associated with the enclosure.
