Monument record MDO5582 - Bowl barrow, Gussage All Saints

Summary
One of a small group of three bowl barrows in a line situated to the north-east of the Wyke Down Group. In 1975 this monument was reported as having a former diameter of around 33 feet with a mound less than a foot high and much reduced by ploughing. Urn sherds, presumably of Bronze Age date, were found during deep ploughing some time prior to 1982.

(SU 00861576) Tumuli (NR) <2>
Three barrows, now flattened by ploughing, lie in a line 250 yds. N.E. of Wyke Down Group, at a slightly higher level on the same slope. (58) Bowl (00851574); former diam. 33 ft., ht. under 1 ft. <3>
Urn sherds have been found after deep ploughing of the barrow at SU 0085 1574. <1>
