Summary

One of two bowl barrows on the crest of Ridge Hill. The mound of this was 13 metres in diameter with a mound about 0.6m high but has been reduced by ploughing and is now visible only as a slight rise. The mound is encircled by a ditch about two metres wide, which has become infilled over the years.

Full Description

A bowl barrow at ST 67670474 ('A'), 42ft in diameter and 2ft high, has most of the top dug away. <2-3)> Although currently pasture, this area has recently been arable and barrow 'A' has been completely destroyed. <4>
