Full Description

A fairly dispersed cluster of medieval pottery found during fieldwalking by Birmingham University Field Archaeology Unit in 1990, to the west of Hinton Martell. This may simply be the result of manuring, however, this field is called 'Town Edgarstone' on the Hinton Martell tithe map of 1840 and although part of Hinton Martell's north field, it may have contained a small settlement at an earlier date.
