Monument record MDO5780 - Bowl barrow on the parish boundary between Horton and Woodlands

Summary
A bowl barrow on the West side of Horton Common. A bowl barrow with a flat topped mound, 18 metres in diameter and 1.5 metres high, surrounded by a quarry ditch two metres wide, from which material was excavated during its construction. This is possiby one of the barrows on Horton Heath from which urns were recovered although there is no positive sign of excavation.

Full Description
This is possibly one of the barrows on Horton Heath from which urns were recovered, but it bears no positive signs of excavation. See SU 00 NE 19. Published survey (25" 1900) revised. <2>
