Summary

A cluster of six pits recorded during construction of the Purbeck to Southampton Pipeline in 1989. One pit contained pieces of Grooved Ware pottery of Neolithic date, and pieces of worked flint were recovered from two others. The archaeologists on site felt that three of the pits may have been natural features.
