Mesolithic and Neolithic flint scatter. Mesolithic and Neolithic flints from Penbury Knoll include axeheads, scrapers, microliths and other implement types, as well as waste flakes. 3 chert flakes have also been found.

Full Description
(SU 03951711) Penbury Knoll (NAT). <1>
Penbury Knoll appears to be an important Mesolithic/Neolithic site. Finds include a small tranchet axe and a non-tranchet axe, several scrapers, utilised and retouched flakes, core-trimming flakes, blade cores, a knife, awl, pick, truncated blade, 3 Microliths and about 3 dozen waste flakes. One waste flake and two utilised flakes are in Portland chert. <2>
