Monument record MDO6079 - Romano British burials from a barrow associated with the Thorneydown Farm Group, Sixpenny Handley

Summary
When General Pitt-Rivers excavated a barrow here in 1898 he found three burials inserted into the upper filling of the ditch around the barrow. These intrusive burials were contracted and interpreted as being of probable Romano-British date.
