Monument record MDO6161 - Iron Age pit observed on the line of the Purbeck-Southampton Pipeline, Sturminster Marshall

Summary
During work on a pipeline running from Purbeck to Southampton in 1989 a small pit was observed and recorded. The pit was covered by alluvial gravels and its filling contained several pieces of Early Iron Age pottery.
