Full Description
LBA bronze socketed celt. Found c.1936, about 200 yards N. of cross roads. Property of the Revd A R T Bruce of Verwood. [Area Centred at SU08620925]. <1>
LBA Socketed Axe found 1939 in garden of new house. <2>
No further information was obtained during field investigation regarding the site or present whereabouts of this
find(s). The Rev. Bruce is deceased. T1 authority was not consulted. <3>

There can be no doubt that Ts 1 & 2 refer to the same axe which is now in the Dorset County Museum. The axe was seen in the Dorset Co. Museum. Description in T1 correct. <5>
