Full Description

(SU 08230858, NGR sited from OS 1:10560 1970 <1> and Authority <4>, fig 18) Verwood kiln 10 <4> or site 6 (Young) <2> was first in operation during the 19th century by Joseph Shearing. By the 1840s his son Henry was the tenant. The kiln was closed during the late 19th century. <2, 4>
