Full Description

A late C1st-late C2nd Romano-British enclosure and field system was excavated just North of Udders Water and South of Washslope Farm. Other ditches recorded in the area are thought to relate to an associated field system. Full report. <1> The presence of further Romano-British activity some 70 metres east of the excavated area suggests the ditches may have been part of a more extensive land use system.
