Summary

Late fifteenth century bridge with seventeenth century alterations. Stone with brick parapet each side has three pointed pedestrian niches, part of this bridge is in the Parish of Pamphill

Full Description

Julians Bridge, called 'Juliane Bridge' by Leland, crosses the River Stour west of Wimborne. It has eight pointed arches and bears the date 1636. It was repaired in 1713 and restored in 1844. <1> Julian's Bridge is as described and is in good condition. It carries a modern main road. See ground photograph. <2> Julian's Bridge. Probably late C15th with C17th alterations. <5>
