Summary
A round barrow of a type known as a bowl barrow. One of a group of four aligned north-south in Blackbush Plantation. In 1975 this monument was reported as being about twenty-two metres in diameter and just over one metre high. The monument is in woodland.

Full Description
(Centred SU 03131579) Tumuli (NR). <2>
One of four barrows (70-73), aligned N.-S. in Blackbush Plantation, lie at about 300 ft. above O.D., well down the W. slope of a ridge near Water Lake Bottom.
(70) Bowl (03121571); diam. 73 ft., ht. 4 1/2 ft.
This record now deals solely with bowl barrow (70). The remainder are now recorded separately.
A bowl barrow, one of a group of four aligned north-south in Blackbush Plantation. It was described by RCHME as a mound 73 feet in diameter and 4.5 feet high. <1, 3>
