Summary
Disc barrow with two mounds - one central, one offset to the north west - forming part of the Oakley Down Group. In 1975 the RCHME recorded the central mound as 28 feet in diameter, with a height of 3 feet. The north-western mound was 25 feet in diameter and survived to a height of 2.5 feet. The berm is 45 feet across; the ditch 15 feet across and 1.5 feet deep, and the outer bank is of similar dimensions. Both mounds are reported to have been opened in the past. One of the mounds (it is not now known which one) contained a cremation accompanied by amber beads.

Full Description
A disc barrow, part of the Oakley Down barrow group (SU 01 NW 19). It comrpises two mounds surrounded by a single ditch and outer bank. The central mound is 28 feet in diameter and 3 feet high, while the other, to the northwest, is 25 feet in diameter and 2.5 feet high. The berm is 45 feet across, and the ditch is 15 feet wide and 1.5 feet deep. The outer bank is of "similar dimensions" to the ditch. The barrow was dug into by Cunnington in 1803 (Cunnington and Hoare's barrow 7). One of the mounds proved to have been dug into previously; the other contained a cremation with amber beads.
