Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
Foundations of a rectangular building found during excavations in 1923-24. The building had flint walls with traces of a rammed chalk floor, upon which were found a medieval coin and whale-bone chessmen. The building, with other walls noted in the vicinity, was interpreted as part of a larger complex of buildings probably associated with the manor house.
