Full Description
Barrows (39-49) lie N. of the South Circle and around the Centre Circle; some appear on Plate 80 (cf. plan p. 114). … (40) Barrow, immediately S. W. of Lumber Lane, has ben levelled by ploughing; diam. About 70 ft.' (1)
The barrow is visible as a cropmark on a 1970s aerial photograph (2). The features comprise a 30.5m outer ditch, truncated on its northeast side by a modern enclosure. There is a possible inner ditch or hollow around 10m in diameter.
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
