Summary
Fragments of third to fourth century Roman pottery were exposed, by The Sherborne Rural District Council, in a field when laying a watermain next to Oborne Road. These may have been washed down from the Blackmarsh site.

ST 65031756. Fragments of 3/4th century Roman pottery. These may have been washed down from the Blackmarsh site. (ST 61 NE 6). <1>
The Sherborne Rural District Council, when laying a watermain adjacent to Oborne Road and the A.A. Box, exposed fragments of 3rd-4th century Roman pottery in their trench near where it crossed the existing River Yeo adjacent to the A.A. Box, in field no. 367 (ST 65031756). These may have been washed down from the Blackmarsh site.
