Find Spot record MDO6487 - Iron Age/Romano-British pottery scatter, possibly a settlement north of Knowle Hill Farm, Woodlands
Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
Fieldwalking revealed a very high concentration of pottery of late Iron Age and early Romano-British date, composed mostly of coarse ware but with some fragments of Samian, colour-coated and white wares. This scatter has been interpreted as a probable settlement.
