Full Description

Three burials found on the SE Glacis of the Verne. One cist of beach-derived Portland slabs was found in 1882, 3ft under the ground in a 'glacial drift earth'. Two other burials were found in the SE Glacis c.1878. One of these was in a cist the other had part of a Celtic bronze mirror.(1)
