Full Description
In 1868 a cist was discovered in Withies Croft Quarries, it contained a coarse ware beaker and a bowl, probably dating to the 2nd century. In 1879, a grave with a skeleton and two jars was discovered at the 'Maggot' quarries.(1, 2)
