Full Description

While digging a foundation trench for a garage behind 87 Easton Street a cist was discovered. Aligned East to West it was 450mm wide, 130mm (?) long and constructed of irregular stone slabs. The extended burial, head to the west, was very disturbed. Other human bones observed to the south west. A second cist was discovered but could not be examined. Probably Roman. <1>
