Full Description

Buried soil containing 14th century pottery, animal bone, shell and an iron object. Probably represents ground surface prior to the construction of Manor farm in the late 16th century. Soil sealed below rubble and soil containing material of 16th century date, possibly representing construction and early use of Manor Farm. Undisturbed by post medieval activity. 16th century deposits sealed by 18th and 19th century rubble layers possibly associated with refurbishment of Manor farm. (1)
