Full Description

Round barrows on Ridgeway Hill : 'E'. Ditched bowl (67018592 105 yds. E.N.E. of 'D'. Diam. of mound 84 ft., ht. 6 ft. Overall diam. with ditch about 100 ft. (V.A.P. CPE/UK 1934, 1061). Probably contained two inhumations lying at right angles across each other. <1> <3> 'E' SY 67018591. Bowl barrow, ploughed over, diameter 31.0m, height 1.6m. No visible ditch. 'A', 'C', 'D', 'E' and 'G' re-surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <4> A bowl barrow 36m in diameter is visible on aerial photographs <7> as a cropmark ring ditch with an internal bank and central pit/ hollow.
