Full Description
[Marginal] At the entrance into the harbour on the Melcombe side is a pier of stone, at the end of which was formerly a fort or battery. <1>
[SY 683788] [Sited to 50m owing to lack of detail.] Graphical material omitted. <2>
The area is covered by a modern roadway and wharf. No trace of antiquity was found. <3>
