Full Description
Excavations North of the pumping station at Sutton Poynz in 1993 discovered Mesolithic implements, Neolithic and Bronze Age pottery and amorphous Early-Middle Iron Age features. A Late Iron Age round house and crouched inhumation were found in one area of the site, while a second area to the North provided evidence of Late Iron Age to end of the 2nd century AD pits, ditches, and a stone and turf boundary bank of several phases.
