Full Description

SY 82879734. A bowl barrow, on the south edge of a field boundary, 22 paces in diameter, 3ft high. (1) SY 82899733. This is a lynchet platform standing upon the junction of three lynchets. See AP CPE/UK/1974/3351. It has a diameter of 25.0 metres east-west and 1.1 metres high taken to the east. It has no height to the north. (2) SY 82879734. Bowl barrow, 66ft. diameter and 3ft high, situated on opposite slope of valley and 160 yds north-west of long barrow (SW 89 NW 28). (3) The only feature visible at this reference is the rounded, well-spread end of a lynchet. Confirmation appears on the air photograph which shows the angular junction of three lynchets as a soil mark with no ditch or barrow characteristics. The same air photographs show a possible ring ditch, about 20 metres in diameter, represented by a soil mark at SY 82869739; there are indications that it is situated in the southern corner of an enclosure. This is simply a ditchmark forming a square of about 50 metres each side, with rounded corners. There are no visible remains on the ground. (4)
