Full Description
                A round (bowl?) barrow, represented as a slight irregular mound about 1ft high, is situated on the crest of a ridge 190 yards east of Five Mary's. Grinsell states that a pit to the west of the barrow is marked in error on some OS Maps (i.e. 1" 5th ed.) as a barrow. <1> <3>
SY 79278419. Barrow in arable ploughed down. Diameter 10.0m., height 0.6m. No visible ditch.  
Rep-surveyed at 1.2500 on MSD. <4>
A Bronze Age bowl barrow is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery <5> to the east of the Five Marys barrow group, Chaldon Herring.  The barrow is sub-circular and measures 10 m in diameter.  This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
