Summary

One of five Bronze Age bowl barrows nearly in a line on a spur of the hill. In 1952 this monument, the most northerly, was reported as being around 20 feet in diameter with a mound about 1½ feet high.

Full Description

A group of round barrows and mounds on a spur of Green Hill. A (i), (ii), B,C and F ploughed down: D and R ploughed out. A (i): 14.2m. diameter, 0.3m. high. A (ii): 10.8m. Diameter, 0.2m. High. B: 12.5m. Diameter, 0.8m high. C: 12.8m. Diameter, 0.8m. High. F: 9.9m. Diameter, 0.7m. High; correctly positioned on OS 1:2500 plan at SY 67059935. (The NG Refs of D, E and F in 1955 were approximated from a Co. Series 6" - see Concordance Card). Revised at 1:2500 on MSD. <5>
