Full Description

(Area centred SY 93448070) Field system. Lynchets here. <1> There is now no trace of this field system; the site occupies a west-facing slightly sloping arable field which is regularly under plough. <2> Medieval or later field boundaries or lynchets are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the west of Puddle Mill Farm <4>. The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are now plough-levelled on the latest Google Earrth imagery.
