Summary
A covered cist of stone slabs, 11 feet long and 1 ½ feet wide, found in 1888 about a foot below the surface, contained a central adult skeleton with head to east and hob nails at the feet with other bones beyond the head. A smaller coffin-shaped cist was found in about 1876 about 100 years away in the same field.

Full Description
Approx SY 92958020. Inhumation burials have been found 1/4 mile south of Bradle farmhouse on a north slope some 300 feet above sea level. A covered cist of stone slabs, 11 feet long by 1 1/2 feet wide, found in 1888. 1 foot below the surface, contained a central adult skeleton with head to the east and hobnails at the feet, with other bones beyond the head. A similar, smaller coffin-shaped cist was found circa 1876 about 100 yards away in the same field. The hobnails are in Dorset County museum. <1>
