Summary

A mound situated on heathland, and interpreted as a probable Bronze Age bowl barrow, though possibly a natural feature. In 1983 this monument was reported as being around 12 metres in diameter with a mound about 0.4 metres high.

Full Description

Possible barrows adjoin the track from the Corfe-Wareham road to Scotland Farm on New Mills Heath. East of the track are two possible adjacent barrows at 'A'-SY 95768385 and 'B'-SY 95788384. <1> 'B'-(25b) SY 95788384. Doubtful barrow. <2> A sandy gorse and heather covered rise infested by rabbits. <3>
