Summary

A lime kiln recorded as ‘limekiln’ on the first epoch Ordnance Survey map of 1885. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who recorded that very little (1-19%) of the structure survived in poor condition. It was not possible to determine what type of kiln construction this was.

Full Description

A lime kiln recorded as ‘limekiln’ on the first epoch Ordnance Survey map of 1885. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier (number 46), who recorded that very little (1-19%) of the structure survived in poor condition. It was not possible to determine what type of kiln construction this was.
