Summary
Earthworks of a medieval field system with strip lynchets.The earthworks comprise a terrace up to 15 metres wide and lynchets with an average height of 1.5 metres. One lynchet is 4.5 metres high.

Full Description
Centred at SY 66679466. Pronounced parallel medieval strip lynchets. Average width of terrace 15.0 metres and average height of lynchets 1.5 metres, though one is 4.5 metres high. No trace of stonework or artificial terracing. Tree covered. Probably part of the open fields of Charminster. <1>
A series of north-west to south-east Medieval strip lynchets occupying1 ha. Of coppice on a north-east slope. The terraces are as described by Authority 1. <2>
