Monument record MDO7675 - Holme Bridge over the River Frome, East Stoke

Summary
An early 17th century bridge over the river Frome, mentioned in 1674, and built on the site of a medieval bridge mentioned in 1530. The bridge originally comprised three round arches, built of limestone and carstone. A brick arch was added to the north in the 18th century and a stone arch added to the south in the 19th century.

Mills refers to 'Holmebrygge' mentioned in 1530 and described as having four arches by Leland in 1535-43. <4>
