A Bronze Age round barrow is visible as an earthwork mound surrounded by an outer ditch on aerial photographs and Lidar imagery of Great Plantation, East Stoke. This feature was plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.

Full Description
Ditched bowl barrow, 21.0m in diameter and 2.0m high with surounding ditch 2.0m wide and 0.3m deep. Much of the barrow
has been destroyed by tanks. <2>
SY 85998811 Ditched bowl barrow, 66ft diameter and 8ft high with a tank track through the centre. <3>
SY 85988809. Bowl barrow, with overall diameter 30.0 metres and 2.0 metres height, with a ditch visible in part, 2.5 metres wide and 0.6 metres deep. The barrow has been cut through by a trench, leaving a ridge across the mound and destroying part of the ditch. Resurveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>
A Bronze Age round barrow, approximately 21.7m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork mound surrounded by an outer ditch on aerial photographs <5> and Lidar imagery <6> of Great Plantation, East Stoke. A linear hollow runs northwest-south-east through the mound and may be the result of previous excavation of this site. This feature was plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
