Full Description
Medieval (and later) lynchets clearly visible on hillside. (1) Parallel cultivation marks associated with a medieval field system are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the east of Kimmeridge (2-4). Although partially plough levelled, most of the lynchets are still extant on the most recent Google Earth imagery. The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
