Summary

Bowl Barrow has a diameter of 22.0 metres and a height of 2.0 metres. It has no surrounding ditch and has been planted with rhododendron bushes and coniferous trees. It has been badly mutilated in the north and east by modern building operations.

Full Description

'B' at SZ 03308298 is a bowl barrow with a diameter of 22.0m. and a height of 2.0m. it has no surrounding ditch and has been planted with rhododendron bushes and coniferous trees. It has been badly mutilated in the North and East by modern building operations and in these quandrants a retaining wall has been built around the mutilated parts. The occupants of Studland Bay House had no knowledge of anything having been found in the barrow. (2) 'B' - SZ 03308298. Bowl barrow, 20 paces diameter and 6ft high. (3) 'B'- SZ 03308299 - (41) - Bowl (?) barrow, 46ft diameter and 6ft high; the east half has been removed and the sides revetted. In garden of Studland Bay House. (4) Two barrows remain generally as described by Auth 4… B: Is in a private garden and in fair condition. The published 1:2500 survey has been revised. Both are 23m OD. (6)
