Full Description

(Centred at SZ 029781) Three Romano-British bronze coins found when making Cricket Ground. <2> No further information was obtained during field investigation either about the exact site where these coins were found, their date or their present whereabouts. The ground is still a cricket ground and no further finds have been recorded from the immediate vicinity. <3> SZ 02907810. "Bon Accord Road. Occupation debris was found about 1904 above the 200ft contour in levelling the Durlston Court School playing field. Sherds identified as Romano-British, flints, and coins, one certainly Roman, were found with indications of hearths". <1, 4>
