Summary
A lime kiln recorded as ‘limekiln’ on the second edition (1900-1902) and ‘old limekiln’ on the 1926 revision of the Ordnance Survey map. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who could find no trace of the kiln structure.
