Summary
A round mound, 27m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945. This Bronze Age barrow has been badly spread out by military training shell-fire.

Full Description
The northern half of this barrow has been badly spread out by shell-fire and the ditch in this area has been obliterated. East-West the barrow measures 27.0m. and North-South approximately 25.0m. while the ditch is 2.5m. wide and 0.4m. deep. There were no surface finds in the vicinity of this bowl-barrow. <2>

SY 87678199. Thorn Barrow (name not confirmed) has been destroyed on all but the south side where it is a semi-circular scarp 1.2m. high. There is no trace of the former ditch. Resurveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <5>

This Bronze Age barrow has been badly spread out by military training shell-fire although the outer ditch is still identifiable on the most recent Google Earth imagery. The site was digitally plotted from aerial photographs during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
