Full Description

Occupation debris, some probably from salt-boiling, comes from adjoining sites below Tyneham Cap, and confirms Dr Frend's note of Iron Age C and Romano-British pottery at SY 89397961. Scraps of burnt shale and flint-gritted ware resembling salting briquetage were found at SY 89347956 in 1958, and Romano- British sherds and one probably of Iron Age A came from the cliff edge at SY 89217941. <1-2>
