Summary

Medieval bridge over the river Piddle or Trent, the central and southern arches were rebuilt circa 1670 and the bridge was widened and the approach improved in 1846. Scheduled and listed.

Full Description

The stone-built North Bridge over the River Piddle or Trent has three arches, the north arch being pointed and probably of medieval origin, and the middle and south arches; probably rebuilt circa 1670. The bridge was widened to the west and the approaches improved in 1846. It has cutwaters on the piers of the arches on the W side only, the parapets are modern. <2> SY 921878. North Bridge.
