Summary
About 1850 a number of Roman coins, said to be around 40, were discovered when the hill at the top of North Street was lowered. The coins were dispersed after discovery, but several were traced and found to include coins of Tiberius, Nero, Vespasian and Domitian, AD 14-96. Possibly a hoard of late 1st-century date.

Full Description
About 1850, some 40 coins were discovered when the hill at the top of North Street was lowered 5 to 6 feet. Although dispersed several were traced and included coins of Tiberius, Nero, Vespasian and Domitian. <1-2>
