Summary
The site of a post medieval milestone of the Wareham Trust with inscription 'Wareham 3 Blandford 11'. A circular mound is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of this location, situated along the western edge of Gore Heath, Wareham St Martin and may be a feature associated with the milestone described above.

Full Description
A circular mound, approximately 9m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the western edge of Gore Heath, Wareham St Martin (1). A post medieval milestone is recorded at this location (2) and it is considered possible this mound could be a feature associated with it. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images avaialable to the project, this area now obscured by modern plantation.
