Full Description

A bowl barrow. A low grass covered mound with no trace of a berm or a ditch. Its diameter is 13.5m., and its height 0.4m. No surface finds were made in the vicinity of this bowl barrow. <2> The bowl barrow at SY 83278245 is now 10.2m. in diameter and 0.2m. high. Revised at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <5> The barrow is visible as a slight earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and 1970 <6-7>. It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. The field has been plough-levelled and nothing is visible on the latest Google Earth imagery .
