Full Description

A Saxon cremation with an upright urn covered in a small sarsen was found close to Iford Bridge in 1938. <1-2> (SZ 13879330) A plain featureless upright urn, covered by a small sarsen. Presented to the BM by Mr Daryell-Reed. <3> The pot was a large globular bowl with flaring rim, of red-brown grass-tempered ware. <4-5> Saxon cremation and urn found at Bournemouth, probably in 1933. <6>
